Kloeckner Metals France: Further Location with SLOT

Kloeckner Metals France now also relies on the SLOT time slot management system by Cargoclix at its site in Carquefou near Nantes. The cloud-based solution ensures that up to 20 trucks per day can be dispatched there without traffic jams in the incoming goods department. Time slots can be booked 120 days in advance. Those who have a spontaneous need can make their booking up to 12 hours in advance. A slot booking costs 50 cents. The costs are shared between the company and the logistics service providers.

Kloeckner Metals is part of Klöckner & Co, one of the world’s largest companies in steel and metal distribution that is not tied to a producer. The group operates 150 sites in 13 countries and employs 7700 people worldwide. Kloeckner says it serves more than 100,000 customers.
