LogiMAT 2023: Cargoclix presents software modules for the digitalization of processes at logistics sites
- Apps and systems offer a wide range of individual combination options based on the modular principle.
- Company shows solutions for time slot management and the organization of digital processes.
(Freiburg i.Br., February 2, 2023) At the Stuttgart intralogistics trade fair LogiMAT 2023 (April 25 to 27), the software specialist Cargoclix from Freiburg / Breisgau will show how the company’s numerous solutions can be combined with each other and put together individually. “Depending on their needs, our customers can select which of the individual components they require for optimizing their handling processes and ramp control and which functions they would like to use, just like a construction kit,” explains Professor Dr. Victor Meier, consulting partner at Cargoclix.
The modular system is based on the cloud-based time slot management system SLOT, which now has more than 120,000 users at around 2,000 customer locations. The system is modularly adaptable, can be operated either web-based or fully integrated in ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS) and, at 50 cents per booking, is one of the most cost-effective and at the same time most powerful time slot management systems.
For example, Cargoclix SLOT can be expanded with the SAFE CHECK-IN module, an app presented for the first time at LogiMAT 2022 that enables communication between all partners involved in the delivery process without media disruptions and so makes the processes in truck dispatch and at the ramp even more efficient. The special feature: both automated and direct messages from the location to the driver are immediately and automatically translated into the native language of the driving person. The process works the same way in reverse: if necessary, users can write a message to the logistics site in their language and it is automatically translated into the language of the site operator. Direct contact between the employees of a site and the driving personnel is thus no longer necessary, and freight documents can also be exchanged digitally.
An additional facilitation for the organization of the gate is offered by the supplementary TERMINAL module with all the possibilities of an electronic gate. As an alternative to using their own cell phone, as with SAFE CHECK-IN, drivers can also log in via a permanently installed tablet or terminal PC in their own language. Ramp operators can also integrate checklists that are confirmed by the driving personnel via checkbox and signature on the tablet. TERMINAL can be adapted precisely to individual workflows and makes driver registration much easier.
Another add-on module that generates a vehicle’s Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) using telematics data has a high utility value. The function enables ramp operators to see in real time whether a truck will arrive at its destination earlier or later than planned and, if necessary, to adjust the handling processes. Cargoclix works together with software specialists from PTV Group, TIMOCOM and Agheera. Every ten minutes, the tool retrieves the GPS location data of a truck and calculates the remaining driving time in the route planner. For data protection reasons, however, the position of the truck is not stored, but deleted immediately after the ETA calculation.
As a further product, Cargoclix will again have its proven logistics platform TENDER in its trade fair luggage this year, which is one of the leading international tender platforms for transport and logistics contracts. The cloud-based software, which enables the processing of global tenders for contracts for transports by road, rail, air, sea and inland waterways, as well as for courier express parcel services and logistics services, is characterized above all by its easy usability. TENDER also operates with a cost-efficient and flexible pricing model and has a very high reach through a large network of connected forwarders and carriers.
