New service: SLOT informs about current COVID-19 measures

• Using the cloud-based solution from the Freiburg-based system, ramp operators can inform their logistics service providers about currently applicable access restrictions.
• Application provides a selection of communication options.

(Freiburg i.Br., 17 December 2021) Whether 3G, 2G, mandatory masks or completely different regulations: During the corona pandemic, in which rules are constantly changing, the cloud-based SLOT time slot management system from Cargoclix now offers ramp operators the opportunity to inform their logistics service providers and truck drivers about the latest corona regulations at the respective location. Several options are available in the system for this purpose.

Via the so-called message carousel, current notices such as “It is mandatory to wear an FFP2 mask on our entire site” can be entered directly into the user’s schedule. The white font moves from right to left similar to a news ticker and is thus conspicuous.

In addition, users can insert notices directly into the booking windows or have them appear as a final step in the actual time slot booking. Here, users are asked to actively confirm that they have read the notice. Only then a time slot booking can be completed successfully.

“Since there are very different regulations depending on the location and federal state under which conditions a company’s premises may be entered at all, we as a software provider would like to make our contribution to simplifying the flow of information in the logistics chain,” emphasises Prof. Dr. Victor Meier, consulting partner at Cargoclix. “By using our system, ramp operators can ensure free of charge that the necessary information reaches the logistics service providers immediately,” he continues.
